Introducing our Damp December Challenge

We understand that the festive season can be a tough month for many when it comes to drinking. The noise and peer pressure to consume alcohol is far greater on the build up to Christmas and it can be daunting…

That’s why we’re calling this month “Damp December”. On the build up to Christmas, we are encouraging you to challenge your drinking habits, setting yourself the goal to limit your alcohol consumption during the week.

We’re not telling you to stop drinking entirely, we just want you to recognise that it is possible to celebrate ‘silly season’ without the booze. We want to help build your confidence to drink more mindfully and make conscious decisions around alcohol.

Over the next 3 weeks we will be sharing journal prompts over on our Instagram stories (@drinkcarouse) every Friday and Monday. These will include, tips, advice and encouragement so keep an eye out for updated questions to check in with yourself this month.

Feel free to screen shot, fill out and share the journal prompts sheets - just be sure to tag us if you do! We would also love to see any occasions where you are having alcohol-free options this month!

Don’t forget to tag @drinkcarouse and #DampDecember so we can see how you’re getting on!

And if you aren’t sold yet, here are some benefits from cutting back on alcohol:

  • Improved mood and mental wellbeing
  • Better sleep quality
  • Saves money
  • Can reduce stress
  • Improved focus and productivity
  • Can increase health of skin, hair and nails
  • Can increase confidence and self-esteem
  • Deeper conversations with friends
  • Memories that you actually remember!

Our first journal prompt sheet is saved on our Instagram under the highlight #DampDecember

This festive season, make yours a #DrinkToRemember
